More than 60 Minutes

This is a response to the implications of 60 minutes involvement in an abduction of a child in Lebanon.

The news about the news, the consequences of taking laws into your own hands and the righteousness of commercial current affairs programs all come into public view.

The media will have a field day. I can imagine a scenario where other news carriers in their attempt to gain top ratings send in their own crack teams of “investigative journalists” in vain attempts to release their comrades. Each captured and held, generating even more news fodder.

Ultimately all the commercial news journalists could reside there. Who says every story doesn’t have a silver lining.
